Events run on Tuesdays at 6:30pm in Brasenose College in the Platnauer room unless otherwise specified.

  • Week 2: What We’ve Been Working on: A series of short talks about projects our community members have been working on. Grab your free dinner here.

  • Week 3: The presentation by Dennis Egger on the Effectiveness of RCT-based development/international aid

  • Week 4: Lightning talks by Jess Rapson on how you can use AI for good, and Jakob Lohmar on his Dphil on Longtermism (the philosophy of the long term future)

  • Bonus: EAG London Application night, Week 4, Sunday night, 5-7pm in Trajan House

  • Week 5: Critical Discussion of Animal Rights Vs Animal Welfare with Dphil Lukas Joosten

  • Bonus: Social for underepresented groups in Effective Altruism, Wednesday of Week 5, 8pm in the Kings Arms

  • Week 6: Lightning talk social for all community members

  • Week 7: Discussion with the Oxford AI Safety Initative

  • Week 8: End of term social.
